Missing Girl - Please Help

I received an e-mail today from my brother-in-law regarding this missing girl from North Dakota. Now, I'm not one to forward e-mails, and I almost always check snopes.com when I get one that raised a concern. According to the article on snopes, which was updated a month ago, this story is true. The girl is missing and has not yet been found. It's heart breaking.

Obviously, every missing child is a concern and we should all do what we can to see her returned to her family. While I'm sure that hope is dwindling for them, I'm equally sure that they haven't lost all hope. I have been amazed at the power of facebook to reunite friends who have seen each other or even spoken for many years. I thought, why not try to put that power to something useful. I'm hopeful that I can figure out how to post this on Facebook, and that others will do the same.

So, below are the details on this girl.

Missing Girl from North Dakota ! You never know where this information could end up. Please spread this picture far and wide... You just never know.

  • Birth date: 9/10/02.

BEFORE YOU SKIP THIS, LOOK AT THE CHILD. DO IT AGAIN. NOW SEND IT TO ALL IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK. IT TAKES 10 SECONDS PEOPLE ARE MISSING HER AND SHE WANTS TO BE HOME. DO SOMETHING GOOD.

The e-mail that I received included this name -- Sue & Barry Wilcox (406) 961-4064

Holly Morphs to Shirley Temple

Ceci Morphs Into Harry Potter

OK, so this one was a long shot. I didn't have much in the way of pictures of Ceci on my computer. This one didn't look like anybody, really, so I decided on the Daniel Ratcliff picture just for fun. Sorry Ceci.

Katie -- Another Mandy Moore

Evidently, all of our girls look like Mandy Moore. She's the top match for everybody but Ceci. This picture of Katie really seems to look like her though.

Cami Morphs Into Mandy Moore

Zoe Morphs to Daveigh Chase

OK, am I the only one who had no idea who Daveigh Chase is? After a few minutes on IMDB, I learned that she was the voice of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch. She's done other things since then, but nothing that I've seen. All of you "Big Love" fans might recognize her.

Grandma and Grandpa

It's been a lot of fun for Cami and me travelling with Grandma and Grandpa.

Zion National Park

After Bryce we headed down 89 to Mt. Carmel Junction and then over to Zion National Park. I had not been in Zion for a long time, and had forgotten how stunningly beautiful it is.

Bryce Canyon

Yesterday started with a trip out to Bryce Canyon National Park. The group kind of split up with some of us going ahead, eating at Ruby's Inn, and then going on out to the park. Others skipped the park, so they came out to eat a little later. The park was beautiful and I'll post some pictures of it.

Ruby's Inn

For breakfast this morning we drove out to Ruby's Inn. They have a breakfast buffet there that is pretty good. Ruby's Inn is right next to Bryce Canyon National Park. A group of us (those who wanted to see Bryce Canyon) drove out earlier than the others, had breakfast, and then went into the Park. It was a good way to start the morning.

The Christening

So, the last event of the night last night was the christening of four Bar-T members with their new Bar-T names. Grandpa Stoker is "Toyz" because of all the many toys that were mentioned in his recent profile posted on the Bar-T website. Todd was named "Pinky", because he got a pink t-shirt. Jim was named "the Godfather". I have no idea why. Neal was named "Booger". I can only guess why.

These guys have each been on five Bar-T rides. Steve, who did the christening, put cinnamon rolls in their mouths and they couldn't touch them with their hands until everybody else had eaten a donut. Kind of silly, but it was fun.

a picture for you

<<IMG_0048.jpg>> So, here we are safe in Panguitch. It was 22 degrees
here this morning. We're hoping for a little warmer morning tomorrow.
This car is parked out front of our motel. The Jazz are losing, we're
sleepy. We're heading to bed. Oh, by the way, we didn't get here at
midnight, we got here at about 4:30 this afternoon.

Big Rock Candy Mountain

That's right! We're at big rock candy mountain. We're stopping about every thirty miles, which is nice on our butts, but it might be midnight before we get to Panguitch.

Lunch at Mom's Café

We've stopped at Mom's café in Salina for lunch. Everything looks great. At the table next to us is another group of bikers, including former Chief Justice Michael Zimmerman and Judge Timothy Hanson (of the Third District Court). We thought about fighting with them but decided against it. Maybe next time.

The group is here.

Noime to write much now. We're on our way.

Nice Wedding - Beautiful Temple

The wedding was very nice. And the temple was beautiful as always. It was kind of chilly this morning, especially in the shade of Spanish Fork Canyon. Once we got into the sun thins started to warm up substantially. The drive through the fields of Indianola, Fairview, and the Sanpete valley. It's going to be a beautiful day!

Hittin' the Road

Well, were off on another great motorcycle trip. This morning we first head to Manti for Hailey Matthews' wedding. After the wedding we'll join up with the Bar-T Riders and head to Panguitch, then on through Southern Utah. I'll try to keep everyone posted on our progress as we go along.

That worked great!

Hey that worked out pretty well. I took that picture out of my office window with the phone on my camera . . . .make that the camera on my phone. Pretty cool, eh? So, all you family and friends in sunny Arizona, I hope you're enjoying your beautiful weather.

I'd really like to be able to post a picture I take on my phone. What do you think are the chances of that?

Testing out a new feature.

So, supposedly I can post to this blog just by sending an e-mail. That sounds like it’s fun enough to be worth checking out. What will really be interesting is if I can include pictures as part of the post! Zoe had her first day at the dentist yesterday. Check out this picture:

FYI, the picture posting thing didn't work with just the e-mail, but I am able to upload it later. Oil well.

Just another blog on the web

I just checked out Nels and Susan Beckstrand's blog and decided to make one for the Sumsion family. We already have a website, at thesumsions.com, but I used up the blog capability of that website for my cutting horse blog. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to do more than one on that site, but for now, this will have to do.
